We Adore Wool

 

Our garments are designed with integrity and are crafted with care and consideration, not only for the wearer but also the environment. With this top of mind, we use 100% Australian wool to produce our Sunday Wilde hat range.

 

We adore wool, apart from looking and feeling incredible, it's also considered an environmentally and socially responsible fibre. Wool is organically occurring and 100% natural, renewable, recyclable and biodegradable making it one of the best fabrics for sustainable fashion.

 

When wool is disposed of, it slowly releases valuable nutrients and carbon back into the earths soil, enriching the soil and nourishing new life.

 

Wool is easy to care for, and can be repaired and enjoyed for many years.

 

 We Adore Linen

 

Linen is one of the most biodegradable and stylish fabrics in fashion history. It is strong, naturally moth resistant, and made from flax plant fibres, so when untreated it is fully biodegradable. Its natural colours include ivory, ecru, tan, and grey.

Linen can withstand high temperatures—making the fabric generally perfect for warmer and cooler months. It absorbs moisture without holding bacteria and has hypoallergenic properties. In fact, it is actually stronger when wet than dry and becomes softer and more pliable the more it is washed. It just gets better and better the longer you own it, creating longevity.

Instead of chasing the industry norms and expected practices, we want to respect the natural world that provides us with the ability to develop our passion.

 

We need to become more responsible for our impact, so our aim is to step away from the fast fashion movement and instead of trying to keep up, we're slowing it right down. Rather than committing to seasonal ranges and chasing fashion trends, we'll be focussing our energy on long lasting and responsibly sourced fabrics. With this in mind, our approach to timeless and original styles and designs will be key for our existence.

 

The Sunday Wilde supports the movement towards a more positive fashion industry, we're on a mission to learn and implement more ways in which we can introduce sustainability and ethical practices while making changes along the way. We will continue to work towards our goal of providing a sustainable hat and apparel range with an entirely traceable supply chain.

Since our inception in 2020, We have committed to donating 1% of our profits to 1% For The Planet. We’re proud to be part of a global movement of businesses working to create positive impact in the world and that understand the necessity of protecting the natural environment.
